Kamchatka, Russian Far East
Trans-Siberian Gold had management control of two epithermal gold deposits on the Kamchatka peninsula, south of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatski, and required to fast-tracking these through to production.
The Asacha deposit was an advanced property with a State approved resource of 16t of gold. From an extensive Russian data set and numerous Western studies MMC was responsible for re-engineering the project and taking it in to the Feasibility Study (by Australian Mining Consultants) and TEO(project) (Russian permitting) phases.
Conceptual mining methods were explored for the less advanced Rodnikova deposit.
